PLUMBING SUB CODE OFFICIAL/PLUMBING INSPECTOR HHS – WEST CALDWELL. The Township of West Caldwell seeks an experienced Plumbing Sub Code Official/Plumbing Inspector HHS. The position is part-time, 10-12 hours per week. The successful candidate will report to the Construction Official. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to, working with the Construction Official, reviewing plumbing permit applications for code compliance. Preparing and issuing orders to abate violations, re-inspecting buildings, structures or premises to assure that plumbing violations have been abated and insuring permit applications are obtained and performs inspections as needed. Candidates shall possess a valid NJ Driver’s License. Additionally, those with at least one year of plumbing sub code related experience are preferred. The successful candidates must be computer literate, experienced in Microsoft Office, responsive and possess excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills.

The Township of Readington seeks a part time Building Subcode Official. Duties include plan review and field inspections, to ensure compliance with NJUCC. Must possess a current, valid Building HHS and Building Subcode Official license, as well as a valid NJ driver’s license. Other technical licenses preferred. Related duties include assisting residents and contractors at the counter, answering phone calls and questions, and filing paperwork. Must be computer literate, with knowledge of Spatial Data Logic preferred. PHILLIPSBURG TOWN, WARREN COUNTY is seeking a full-time Building/Housing Inspector to enforce the UCC & Town Housing and Rental Codes. A minimum of 3 years of field inspection experience is required in either Housing, Fire Safety or UCC inspection fields or a combination thereof. An HHS Building Inspector license is required however multiple UCC licenses is a plus. A certification as a DCA Inspector of Hotels and Multiple Dwellings and knowledge of SDL is preferred but not required.
