2008 0fficers take their post

At its reorganization meeting held at the Building Safety Conference in May 2008, in Atlantic City New Jersey, MUNCO members re-elected five of their peers as officers to a one-year term from May, 2008 through April, 2009. The 2008 officers are as follows:

* Jeff Heiss, Construction Official, Warren Township NJ, Chairman
* Scott Luthman, Construction Official, Highland Park NJ, Vice Chairman
* Bob LaCosta, Construction Official, Scotch Plains NJ, Finance Officer
* John Fiedler, Construction Official, Hillsborough NJ, Corresponding Secretary
* Bruce Helmstetter, Construction Official, Fanwood NJ, Recording Secretary

2005 Officers Take thie Post

At its reorganization meeting held at the Building Safety Conference in May 2005, in Atlantic City New Jersey, MUNCO members elected five of their peers as officers to a one-year term from May, 2005 through April, 2006. The 2005 officers are as follows:

  • Joe Hoff, Construction Official, Piscataway NJ, Chairman;
  • Scott Luthman, Construction Official, Highland Park NJ, Vice-Chairman
  • Vince Lupo, Construction Official, Franklin (Mercer County) NJ, Finance Officer
  • Bruce Helmstetter, Construction Official, Fanwood NJ:, Corresponding Secretary
  • Jeff Heiss, Warren NJ, Recording Secretar

At the general meeting in June 2005, Joe Hoff outlined a preliminary agenda for the coming year. According to Mr. Hoff, the goals of the organization for 2005 are to:

  • Stimulate and foster member participation by continuing to reach-out to Municipal Construction Officials throughout the State and encourage their participation and membership in MUNCO
  • Offer members mini-workshops on subjects beneficial to the administration of a local enforcing agency;
  • Have regional MUNCO meetings (one in northern New Jersey and one in southern New Jersey) to give those from extreme ends of the State who do not want to travel the distance an opportunity to attend and participate
  • Carry-out a social event, such as a golf outing, as a means of promoting MUNCO.

Election of Officers, Spring Meeting, 2004

The re-organization meeting of MUNCO was held on April 28, 2004, during the Building Safety Conference, in Atlantic City. The membership re-elected all the officers serving last term as follows: Carlos Martinez, Construction Official, Township of Evesham, Chairman; Tom Pinand, Construction Official, Vernon Township, Vice-Chairman; Kurt Wagner, Construction Official, West Milford Township, Finance Officer; Joe Hoff, Construction Official, Piscataway Township, Corresponding Secretary; and, Jeff Heiss, Construction Official, Warren Township, Recording Secretary.

The Association Trustees are: Carlos Martinez, Construction Official, Evesham Township; Sal DiCristina, Construction Official, Rutgers University; Vincent Lupo, Construction Official, Franklin Township (Somerset) and Millstone Borough; Bob LaCosta, Construction Official, Scotch Plains Township, and; Charlie Murphy, retired Construction Official.

Art Nordeen, Construction Official, Plainsboro Township, former Chairperson and Trustee, was the first Construction Official elected to the post of MUNCO Chair in 1998.

At its spring reorganization meeting at the Building Safety Conference held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, MUNCO members elected five of their peers as officers for a one-year term from May, 2003 through April, 2004.

Carlos Martinez, Construction Official, Evesham NJ, was elected to the post of Chairman and Tom Pinand, Construction Official, Vernon NJ, was elected Vice-Chairman. The other officers are construction officials: Joe Hoff, Piscataway NJ, Corresponding Secretary; Jeff Heiss, Warren NJ, Recording Secretary; and, Kurt Wagner, West Milford NJ, Finance Officer.

At the general membership meeting in June 2003, Carlos Martinez outlined an agenda and selected moderators for the coming year.

One of the top priorities of the organization for this year, according to Carlos Martinez, is to stimulate member participation by:

  • Re-activating the web site
  • Notifying the current membership of the existence of the web site and its interactive features
  • Sending a mass-mailing to all currently-appointed Municipal construction officials in the State informing them about MUNCO
  • Selecting agenda topics of interest to fellow Construction Officials
